Factor Xa inhibitor

Functions

Potent and selective inhibitor of both free and prothrombin-bound factor Xa, Ki = 0.8 nM. Clinically useful antithrombotic agent. Apixaban lowered risk of recurrent venous thromboembolism and major bleeding in high-risk patients.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
