GPX4 inhibitor; Ferroptosis inducer
Functions
Induces ferroptosis by inhibiting glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) which causes accumulation of lipid hydroperoxides. Ferroptosis induction may be its mechanism of action as a cancer chemotherapeutic. Clinically useful agent for ovarian cancer.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer.
